Ephemera Press is a personal project by me, Jake.

Ephemera Press is my place to tease out ideas I find in the small pockets of collapsing mental space I have as a husband, father and employee. I don’t know if I’ll have a specific format or topic, but if I had to guess, these essays will likely be in the vein of “banality-reaching-for-profoundness”.

Like all ephemera, some of these posts may spiral out into nothing and the whole project may be abandoned at any moment. While I doubt I am necessarily a bleeding-edge “thinker” in terms of groundbreaking concepts, I try to write economically but colorfully, so I hope my musing resonates with the friends of mine that are in a similar station in life.

You can Subscribe to Ephemera Press for free to get posts emailed to your inbox and access the website. I am attempting to adhere to posting something at least once a month, as long as my free time allows.

To find out more about the company that provides the tech for this newsletter, visit Substack.com. At the time of this writing, Substack’s motto is “Take back your mind”. While I understand this is absolutely a clever piece of marketing, I guess I’m a mark, because I take it gravely seriously and this ethos is half the reason I started writing again.
